Event Description: Cal Poly Symphony Fall Concert Sunday, November 22nd, 3:00 pm Christopher Cohan Center Presented by Cal Poly Music Department The Cal Poly Symphony's 2009-2010 season traces the emergence of a unique, American voice in orchestral music. "Music for a New World" starts that exploration with Dvoøák’s Symphony No. 9, "From the New World," completed in 1893 as a musical challenge to American composers to create a uniquely American sound.
